MASTERS OF WARS BOOK REVIEW ⛅

The explosive, gritty and relentlessly paced sequel to John H. Thomas' Master of War series picks up six months after Maxx King's experiences in Afghanistan as a former Army Ranger who has now moved into the Cyber Crime Investigation Unit. It thrusts Maxx back into the middle of a global conflict with attempts on his life, political maneuvering and technology-based warfare.

The novel showcases not only an excellent combination of Global Geopolitical Tension and a Sci-Fi Urgency, but also highlights Maxx's character, who must valiantly fend off an unhinged ex-DARPA scientist whose mad scientist motives could result in creating a war like that which is outside of the limits of the Earth. The plot's stakes are extremely high; it moves at a furious pace and offers an unending array of Cinematic Tension.

Maxx is a flawed human being whose trauma adds much emotional impact to the international aspect of the storyline. The Author's writing is highly engaging and as action-packed as a military thriller could be, without getting stuck in a quagmire of technical jargon. Fans of Military Thrillers and Political Espionage that are rife with Action & Brain Power will thoroughly enjoy Masters of War, and it will keep them on the edge of their seat until the very end.
